The UCCS Science and Engineering Building in Colorado is a university centre for science and engineering designed by the architect Chris M. Gebhart of AR7 Architects Studio to provide technological research with up to date facilities.

Inaugurated in 2009, the structure is characterized by its enormous windows that open onto the surrounding mountain landscape and large internal spaces in which students, professors and researchers can move between lecture rooms and laboratories. The fl ooring is laid with the Format collection, Grey colour, and includes inserts of geometric cuttings in Black in the entrance, the main hall and the corridors: certifi ed Ecolabel and containing pre-consumer recycled materials, the collection helps achieve LEED points for buildings that are ever more “green” and eco-sustainable.
