On 16 January 2025, Paris hosted an exclusive event for design and architecture professionals: Around Design. This event marks an important stage in a travelling cycle of conferences and meetings, Around Design. Meet. Talk. Connect., which continues its journey through major international cities. A cultural project that addresses the community of architects and designers, with the aim of fostering the exchange of ideas and valuable content through debate and sharing, helping to strengthen the global design network.
Focusing on the theme ‘The materials value chain in large architectural projects’, the evening was attended by leading experts from the French scene. Guests included Stéphane Quigna and Léa Blanc of Arte Charpentier, Alexandre Montbrun of Oceanis, Ana Moussinet founder of the interior design studio of the same name and Natacha Froger, founder of Atome Associés. The professionals took part in a panel discussion that explored the fundamental role of materials in large-scale architectural projects, delving into the challenges and evolutions of the sector.
The discussion focused on the emotional value of materials and how their selection is not just a functional matter, but an integral part of the narrative that designers wish to create. As Léa Blanc pointed out, materials are often the starting point of the design process, guiding and inspiring the development of the project itself. Similarly, Natacha Froger highlighted how materials are closely linked to the emotional impact of the space, helping to tell the identity and story of the project.
The event took place in the Atlas Concorde Studio Paris, an exclusive and highly functional space designed to meet the needs of professionals. Located at 21 Rue d'Argenteuil, the studio represents the heart of an experience dedicated to those seeking inspiration, innovation and cutting-edge solutions.
A confidential and specialised meeting that further consolidated the company's commitment to creating opportunities for connection and growth for the community of design professionals. Addressing the delicate balance between cost, environmental impact and design quality, the event offered a platform to discuss the evolving demands of major architectural projects.
